My Girls
I don’t just have guy friends. There are girls out there I turn to for advice—for example, if I want to know what outfit to wear to knock a guy dead (And even though I don’t consider myself to be a girly-girl, there’s something about looking good in front of your crush that makes you feel glamorous). These girls are:
Juliette: The Sweetheart. One of the kindest people I know. She bakes cookies and makes tea when I’m sad. She’s always smiling and ready to encourage you. Shame that she’s dating a dirtbag.
Mel: The Pessimist. (hey! everyone needs at least one in their life!) Mel is quite funny and usually all her statements are covered in sarcasm but she means well. While the rest of us are off in the clouds, she’s there to put out feet back on the ground.
Rose: The Drama Queen. There is a fact: theatre people are crazy (in a good way) and Rose is no exception. Sometimes, however, she is so theatrical that you have to know that a third of what she says is over-exaggerated. Rose is currently dating a wonderful guy who I’m hoping she will marry.
Emma: The Mermaid. She’s like a real-life Ariel. Seriously.
Sally: The Roommate. She’s pretty freaking awesome. When we saw Star Trek, she leaned over and whispered, “I think I have a vibrator that looks like that ship.”
